Revision of rate of Service Tax
The rate of Service Tax, which was 2.575% earlier, has since increased to 3.09% with effect from 1st April 2012. All allottees are advised to include Service Tax @ 3.09% in all instalments payable on or after 1st April 2012. IRWO needs the services of retired Civil Engineers to work as Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager/Technical Officer and Diploma Holders/Degree Holders on direct recruitment and on contractual appointment basis to work as Project Engineers, for its housing projects at Ambattur (Chennai), Meerut and Moradabad. Among the non-metro places where no Demand Survey has been carried out, IRWO is examining the possibility of procuring land in Patna, Jhansi, Siliguri, Jaipur, Shimla, Raipur, Bhiwadi, Meerut, Haridwar and Ahmedabad. Before finally deciding on the procurement, IRWO would like to know the actual demand for Dwelling Units at these places from IRWO Members. Allottees remitting dues by RTGS must ensure that the Sender to Receiver Information – item (vi) of IRWO's instructions – is sent immediately to IRWO by post or preferably by email to df at irwo.in to enable us to link the remittance. The information may be sent both if the RTGS request is handed over personally in the Remitting bank and also if the transaction is effected through Internet Banking.
IRWO Members are requested to mention their Primary Registration No. in all their correspondence/proposals/grievances to IRWO's office so as to facilitate the disposal of their cases.
